Register and Login
If you have not enrolled before as a user on HSELanD.ie, this is the place to begin. If however, you have enrolled before, but you have forgotten your login details, simply contact the HSELanD Support team: 048 90640445.
Complete the Enrolment form, page by page. Fill in each field, then click Continue at the bottom of the page to move on to the next part.
When you have completed the Enrolment, you will see a page with your username and password. Keep these in a safe place; these are your personal account details. Now you are ready to log on to HSELanD.
Homepage
After you login to HSELanD, there are a number of areas on the website that will be of particular interest.
The following is a basic introduction to the website.
The green banner along the top of the HSELanD website directs you to the main sections of the site.
HSELanD offers tools and resources to help you set a direction for your learning and the Home page contains many of the links you’ll be looking for.
Below the News you’ll find three areas:
- Identify & Plan
The Competency Assessment Tool is useful to identify strengths and areas where you would like to improve.
The Personal Development Plan (PDP) Workbook helps you to set career goals and plan your learning objectives. - Learn at your own pace
The View Online Learning Programmes button takes you through to the programmes catalogues.
Learning ranges from crucial Healthcare programmes to learning more about managing personal finance. - Learn & share with others
Here you will find a number of Hubs where you can communicate, collaborate and share resources and with HSE colleagues across the country.
My Learning
On the My Learning page you can access both, the Competency Assessment Tool and the PDP workbook as well as the Online Learning Programmes.
In the left and right hand panels there are also eReference and external resources on a range of relevant topics.
Need Some Help
You can click the Need Some Help? tab from anywhere on the website.
In the left hand panel on this page you have access to FAQs, a site map, resources about eLearning and more.

Finding your way around Learning Programmes
From the Home or My Learning pages on HSELanD.ie, click Online Learning Programmes.
On the left side of the page you will find links to:

- The Learning Programmes Home page.
- The list of learning programme Catalogues.
- Help tutorials.
- A feedback or "Contact Us" page
- The HSELanD home page

On the right side of your page you have two areas. Quick Links contains direct links to the five programmes you have most recently accessed. Finding a Learning Programme is a search tool to help you to find learning programmes.
In the centre area of the page, are some articles that we’ve highlighted because they may be useful to you. Please keep your eye on these as they may change from time to time.
Enrol for a learning programme
From the Home page on HSELanD.ie, click Online Learning Programmes.

- Click Catalogues in the left hand panel. Learning programmes are organised into relevant categories. Select a catalogue, for example, ‘Clinical Skills’. To get back to the catalogues page, click Top in the breadcrumb trail in the upper left of the page.
- To enrol onto a programme, click the programme name. For example, if you selected ‘Clinical Skills’, you could click ‘Decontamination’.
- A new window will open with some information about the programme. Click Enrol Now.
- Click Confirm Enrolment.
- To start learning, click Launch this Course.
- Once the programme opens click the maximise button in the top right corner of the programme window as shown below:

From the Home page on HSELanD.ie, click Online Learning Programmes. Once you have enrolled for a learning programme, you can return to it at any time. There are two ways of doing this from the Learning Programmes Home page:
- Click the Enrolled Learning Programmes tab. From your list of programmes, click the programme you wish to return to.
- The Quick Links area on the right side of the page has links to the last five programmes you have accessed. From this list, click the programme you wish to return to.
